I'm a guest of honor at Origins 04. Here's my schedule of events.

Thu 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. - "Creating Worlds - A Designers' Forum" - RPG designers and authors exchange ideas on building a world from the ground up. My advice: don't build your world from the ground up.

Thu 7:00 - 11:00 p.m. - "Jonathan Tweet presents... Everway ["Creators at Play" event]- Join the creator of the Everway RPG, renowned game designer Jonathan Tweet, as he presents an original quest. Bring a character or create one at the event. Enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to "play with the creator!" [Generic tickets will not be accepted for this event]

Fri 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. - "Character Counts - The Legacy of Dungeons & Dragons" - When D&D hit the market, many thought it spelled the end of Board Gaming. How did D&D capture the imagination of the gaming public, and why has it stayed on top? My short answer: It's more game than simulation.

Fri 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. - "Gaming Gurus Pick the Goods" - Cool stuff that we found in the dealer's hall.

Fri 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. - The Origins Awards and Hall of Fame Honors ["30th Anniversary" event]

Sat 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Hall of Fame Presentation ["30th Anniversary" event] - a moderated session where you and the host will discuss whatever issues come to mind and field questions from the audience. This is the event where you can ask me about any random thing I might have said on this web site.

Sat 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. - "Plagues and Humours and Monks, Oh My!" ["Days of Knights" program] - The medieval world was one of metaphor, spirit and faith, where the invisible was just around the corner. Their zeitgeist and weltanschauung were very different from ours. The panel explains those two terms shows you how to make your medieval games feel more ....medieval.

Sat 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. - Hall of Fame Banquet ["30th Anniversary" event] - a limited-seating event that allows some of our attendees to share a meal with our guests and to talk informally about "life, the universe, and everything."

Sun 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. - "Jonathan Tweet presents... Dungeons & Dragons" ["Creators at Play" event] - Join the lead designer of D&D 3rd edition, Jonathan Tweet, as he presents a scenario from his personal D&D campaign world. Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to "play with the creator." [Generic tickets will not be accepted for this event]
